[Important] Tutorial Help Empty
PostSubject: [Important] Tutorial Help   [Important] Tutorial Help EmptyFri Jan 30, 2009 6:06 pm

Hello, I made this thread to help out anyone who wants to make a tutorial or wants to post one here.

--- Making your tutorial

Here are some tips on how to make a successful tutorial.

- Beginning

Always make an introduction into the tutorial to tell what you are going to do in the tutorial. It is also helpful to give the final result of the tutorial in the introduction so the person who reads it doesn't have to wait or scroll down to the bottom to see the result.

- Explanation

Try to divide your tutorial into many steps, each step being something to do to get to the final result. To help out the persons who reads your tutorial, always take screenshots (PrintScreen) of the operations you do (Or at least give a good explanation).

- Ending

There are no really ending to a tutorial, only post the final result and say something like "Hope you like it". Put the link of your forums at the bottom so you can get some persons to join the forums. Also, state that if anybody has problems or needs help, they can post their questions into the thread and you are going to be able to answer to them. Finally, say that this tutorial may not be posted anywhere else except the forums you are on (State the names) and that people can't post it anywhere else unless they have your approval.

- Random tips

- Try to make the tutorial in a jpeg file.
- Use something simple for the background, black/grey always works well.
- Use a simple font, Arial, Times New Roman and Tahoma are quite nice.
- Use a quite easy-to-read english.
- If you used any ressources in your tutorial, post a link to it. It's quite useful Smile

--- Posting your tutorial

- When you post your tutorial here (Image Union), if it is possible, in the thread please put the category of your tutorial in brackets. Here's and example : [Signature]..., [Text]...
- You can send your tutorial to Good-Tutorials.com and pixel2life.com. It gives the chance to anybody browsing those websites to see your tutorial and it gives advertisement. Smile

--- Posting a tutorial (Not yours)

- Just to get no problems, always ask for the permission of the creator before posting it here. We don't really wanna get any problems with this.
- When you post a tutorial here (Image Union), if it is possible, in the thread please put the category of your tutorial in brackets. Here's and example : [Signature]..., [Text]...

-- I may add some more stuff later and please, don't post randomly in this thread.
